When some students are so careless and play with fire, not considering the consequences. This careless act can be avoided if we consider the damage it will cause. The properties of a student cannot be returned, once it is burnt even certificates cannot be replaced easily. As a student when you know your certificates are secured you can focus on your studies very well. The consequences of such an incident can be very serious, especially in the case of students who have to take exams later on. For example, if a student has lost his/her property due to a fire accident then he/she will have no choice but to appear for a re-exam again and again until he/she gets an opportunity to retake an exam from which he/she had passed before getting burnt out. UDUS Unveils Center for Open and Distance Education, CODE for E-learning Programmes

Ghazali Ibrahim reports, In a bid to enhance distance learning education, the management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto has unveiled a new e-learning programme system named Center for Open and Distance Learning, CODE. This was made known to the public through the official Twitter handle of the University today. The information reads: "The CODE is an organ of the University responsible for providing access to quality higher education at affordable cost with great flexibility through ODL". The Centre uses an e-learning platform as its teaching mode and provides a minimal physical interaction between the learners and the facilitators. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as professional certificates. According to the information, CODE, UDUS currently have 48 Undergraduate Programmes, 40 Postgraduate Programmes, 13 Professional Certificates, 102 Accredited Programmes, and 67 Academic Programmes.
