Tambuwal Appoints UDUS Lecturers as VC, DVCs of Shehu Shagari University of Education

In a press release from the office of the special adviser media and publicity to the Sokoto state governor, Mal. Muhammad Bello dated 19th January 2022, the Sokoto State governor, Rt. Honourable Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has approved the appointment of three UDUS lecturers, Prof. Malami Umar Tambuwal as the pioneer vice-chancellor of the newly established Shehu Shagari University of education, Sokoto, Prof. Aminu Muhammad Mode as deputy vice-chancellor academic and Prof. Nasiru Mukhtar as deputy vice-chancellor administration.

The new university, Shehu Shagari University of Education (SSUE) was the former Shehu Shagari College of Education upgraded to the university of education. This university is the first of its kind here to be produced for education and education-related courses.



The pioneer vice-chancellor, professor Malami Umar Tambuwal is an educationist of repute who was the registrar of the former Shehu Shagari college of education upgraded to university and as well, the dean, faculty of Education and Extension services UDUS. 



While, Prof. Aminu Muhammad Mode, the former head of the department of Modern European Languages and Linguistics (MELL) And also, the current dean Student Affairs Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto

And the newly appointed deputy vice-chancellor administration, prof. N.M Gatawa is a lecturer department of economics, faculty of social sciences, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
