Gamji Poetry: The Campus Journalist

By Adeshina Saheedat Adeola

With pen in hand,

A notebook in tow,

Ready to stand.

They search for the stories,

They search for the truth,

They write with their passion,

To give others a view.

They work through the night,

They write in the day,

They give us the stories,

That help us find our way.

With courage so bold,

A passion for words,

A story to hold.

They search for the truth,

And give it to us,

A voice that we trust.

A light in the dark,

A beacon of hope,

A writer so stark.

They tell us the stories,

That others ignore,

They show us the truth,

That we need to explore.

They give us a voice,

They give us a choice,

To learn from their stories,

To make the right noise.

They fight for the truth,

They fight for what's right,

The campus journalist,

A light in the night. They search for the facts,

They search for the news,

They ask all the questions,

That others refuse.

They dig for the answers,

They dig for the truth,

Their work is important,

Their work is so smooth.

Their pen is their sword,

Their notebook their armor,

Their passion their lord.

They fight for the campus,

They fight for the truth,

The campus journalist,

A fearless pursuit.
